More than funding
The OWLS Scholarship Program supports student-athletes and families committed to excelling both on the field and in the classroom. Through two tracks, the OWLS Academic Support Scholarship and the OWLS Wings Scholarship (which includes tuition assistance), the program helps make OWLS Lacrosse resources accessible while reinforcing our commitment to academic achievement, personal growth, and strong character.
Every recipient joins a community that expects effort, accountability, and growth in return for the support we provide. A scholarship isn't just funding. It's a commitment between the student, their family, and OWLS to help that student reach their potential, both on the field and in the classroom.
Two Tracks

The OWLS Scholarship Program runs on two tracks, so families can find the kind of support that fits where their student-athlete needs it most. Both share the same core expectations and responsibilities.
Academic Support Scholarship
For student-athletes who could benefit from structured academic support (tutoring access, study resources, and mentorship) to help them succeed in the classroom alongside their athletic commitments.
Wings Scholarship
Everything included in Academic Support, plus tuition assistance for student-athletes facing financial barriers to participation. Wings recipients receive both academic backing and supplemental financial aid to attend tuition-based schools.

Eligibility
Who should apply
To be considered for an OWLS Scholarship, applicants should:
- Be at least one year removed from their first participation date with OWLS Lacrosse
- Be a student-athlete in good standing as a consistent participant in OWLS programming
- Submit a complete application
- For Wings applicants: demonstrate financial need as outlined in the application

How it works

- Rolling reviewThere is no deadline. Applications are reviewed as they are submitted.
- Award decisionsDecisions and a formal Award Agreement are sent to families 3–4 weeks after an application is submitted.
- Scholarship term beginsWhen OWLS receives the signed Award Agreement.

Fill out the OWLS Scholarship application below, including the academic and (if applicable) financial sections.
Hear back from OWLS
OWLS will send a confirmation email and, when applicable, confirm the annual tuition obligation. If anything else is needed to complete an application, our team will be in touch.
Receive your award decision
Award decisions and a formal Award Agreement are sent to families 3–4 weeks after an application is submitted.

Frequently asked
What's the difference between the two tracks?
Both tracks include academic support: tutoring access, study resources, advising, and mentorship. The Wings Scholarship adds tuition assistance for student-athletes attending tuition-based schools who face financial barriers.
Who can apply?
Student-athletes who are at least one year removed from their first OWLS program and are in good standing as consistent participants. Wings applicants also demonstrate financial need through the application.
What is expected of scholarship recipients?
Effort, accountability, and growth. Award Agreements are individualized, and a recipient may have specific requirements based on their academic profile and their behavior within OWLS programming. In general:
- Recipients attend an OWLS academic offering no less than once per quarter.
- Recipients in 7th grade and above meet with an OWLS Academic Advisor once a month.
- Guardians meet with an OWLS Academic Advisor once per quarter.
- Families provide access to the recipient's grades when necessary.
When will we hear back?
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Award decisions and a formal Award Agreement are sent to families 3–4 weeks after an application is submitted.
